It's great that your grandchildren are growing up in Hawaii…Read More since it's also a very diverse state and it's good for them to be exposed to a variety of races and cultures. I am enjoying California and I don't mind so much anymore if the question of race comes up since I've relearned to be proud of where I come from and I have no problem telling people, whether they socially construct me based on race or not, that I'm Filipino.
