Learn How to Teach English Abroad while Earning Money

If you have ever considered living overseas and earning money at the same time by teaching English, San Diego State University has a program just for you.

The 130-hour TESL/TEFL certificate program through SDSU’s American Language Institute (ALI), a division of SDSU’s College of Extended Studies, prepares novice instructors to successfully live and teach English overseas. More than 150 TESL/TEFL certificate graduates have been employed in nearly 40 countries with the help of ALI's job placement assistance program.

This certificate program combines a solid teaching foundation with hands-on practical classroom experience. The next daytime session will be offered Monday-Friday, Jan. 7-Feb. 1. There will also be a night session (Tuesdays and Thursdays) Feb. 5-April 25.
