The SDSU College of Extended Studies Military and Veterans Services Office reaches out to veterans, active duty, and family members of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces by offering more than 30 certificate programs approved for veterans’ education and military spouse benefits.
“Education is a critical component, especially when you talk about a unique program like here at the Extended Studies at San Diego State University where veterans come into the classroom,” said Capt. James C. Goudreau, director of the Navy Energy Coordination office in Washington, D.C.
“Certification helps set you apart and gives you the tools to be competitive in the interview process, and subsequently makes your company more competitive in any bid they put out,” added Capt. Goudreau, who was keynote speaker at the recent SDSU Extended Studies veterans sustainability event “Discover Green Careers, Entrepreneurship, & New Trends.”
