SDSU Hosts Open House for Hospitality Certificate Programs

SDSU’s College of Extended Studies will host a fall semester open house for its Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning and Professional Certificate in the Business of Wine programs Thursday, July 25 from 6-7:30 pm in the SDSU Gateway Center, Room 2509.

 

There will be industry representatives on site and students will have the opportunity to learn about either/or both programs. There will also be an opportunity to mingle with instructors from both programs.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, business meetings and events have grown faster than the U.S. economy in recent years. The profession of meeting and event planning was named one of the 50 best careers when considering high-opportunity jobs in U.S. News and Report and Bloomberg BusinessWeek.

The Business of Wine certificate program is designed to prepare students for success in wine-related occupations. Through engaging discussion and directed tastings, courses let students experience the world of wine through both wine education and business education.
