Tune to KOCT - Channel 18, Thursday July 3rd at 6 pm for a one-hour “live” Journalist Roundtable program.

Our Guests will include,  Assemblyman Rocky Chavez from the 76th District to discuss California politics, the states budget and related subjects. 

Additional guests include Karen Haynes, Ph.D., President Cal State San Marcos to discuss the fast moving fire that threatened the campus, expected growth of the University as well as current and future building plans and her opinion of the proposal for community colleges to offer 4-year degrees. Dr. Bart Billings, Retired Army Colonel, former military psychologist the Founder and Director of the Human Assistance Rapid Response Team Program to discuss his annual conference on Combat Stress and this years, the 21st International Military and Civilian Combat Stress Conference.

Our last guest will be Chuck Lowery, a former Oceanside councilmember who just announced he will run again for a council position now occupied by incumbents Councilmembers Jerry Kern and Gary Felien. 

The host for Journalist Roundtable is veteran journalist Kent Davy and he will be joined on set by KPBS’s Alison St John.
