“It’s a breakfast, lunch joint,” location owner Randy Corrigan said. “Everybody’s looking for comfort food we don’t break the bank and we give generous portions.”

It will feature Mimosas, Bloody Mary and the Broken Yolk Iron Man and Iron Woman Special — a challenge for customers to eat a 12-egg omelet and sides within an hour. Winners earn a shirt and don’t pay for the massive meal.

The restaurant moved into a building that had been vacant some six years, Corrigan said. He’s hired 48 employees.

The Oceanside franchise donate to and raise money for The Wounded Warrior Foundation, Corrigan said, adding that he’s excited to open in a military town.

Across the parking lot Saturday afternoon sailors Cory Merchant and Brinn Heffron asked when the restaurant would open. The Oceanside couple was excited to have a new breakfast place.

“It’s our favorite meal,” Heffron said.

But Merchant clarified her statement, “Mimosas, she means, not breakfast.”
