The New York city was devastated by Hurricane Sandy last month and the local chamber held a fundraiser donating $1 for every new “like” on their Facebook page. The raised funds include donations from the Oceanside Chamber Foundation, local residents and businesses, Scott Ashton of the Chamber told Patch. The chamber sends the cards to the Oceanside (NY) Chamber of Commerce to distribute.

The local chamber has also gotten about 2,600 new “likes.”
