On Friday morning, FedEx brought more than 850 of them for military families as part of a partnership between the shipping company and the National Christmas Tree Association.

First dibs for a tree this year went to the Wilson family, who won the Golden Ticket.

"It means a lot, actually, because we had to leave all of our decorations back home in Michigan and to send them, it was kind of expensive,” Nikki Wilson said. “So I'd seen the contest on Facebook and it was just a good opportunity.”

This will be a special Christmas for her husband, Pfc. Anthony Wilson, and their son Anthony Jr.

“This is my first Christmas with him because I was in boot camp for his last Christmas, so I'm actually excited for spending this holiday with him,” he said.
