The is raising money to provide 35 veteran organizations a building to conduct business in, grow their memberships and provide services to the 80,000 veterans in North County, VANC President Chuck Atkinson said.
On Saturday, the will hold a fundraiser for VANC to help it reach its goal of $1.1 million to improve the old Oceanside Police Department building at 1617 Mission Ave. So far, the organization has reached about $400,000, Atkinson said.
Tickets for Saturday's fundraiser are $20. Attendees can enjoy a meal at 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased to be given to an active duty military member.
