Patch advertising manager Sara Cremidas will go the extra mile for a client. On Friday, that mile more than doubled and the path was straight down.
Rich Grimm, owner of Tsunami Skydivers in Oceanside, invited Cremidas to jump out of a plane at 13,000 feet and she did.
“I thought I would be too scared to jump out of the plane, but Nick, the instructor calmed my nerves, but also made sure I had fun,” she said. “It doesn’t feel like you’re falling; it feels like you’re suspended in the air.
The center opened in June is located at the Oceanside Municipal Airport. Tandem jumps are $210. A video and photo package is an additional $80.
"Fun jumps" for experienced skydivers are available.
Grimm—a retired Ontario firefighter—has been parachuting for three decades and wrote on Patch about the first time he jumped.
