Camp Pendleton artillery units will conduct a week of live fire training on the North County Marine Corps installation starting Saturday, base officials announced today.
The training is scheduled to take place from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday through Friday, according to Pendleton's public affairs office.
Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be heard up to 50 miles away.
