Top Ten Camp Pendleton Patch Stories of 2011

Patch readers liked breaking and celebrity news in 2011.

Camp Pendleton Patch launched this summer and it's become a resource for base and Oceanside residents to learn — in real time — what's going on in the community. In its first few months, the site kept residents out of the dark during a widespread power outage and has updated readers on breaking news developments.

Celebrities have been a favorite topic among readers. The site was also a resource for Tim McGraw fans looking for the best way to get tickets and maneuver through the mayhem of the fall concert.

And a list of top stories would not be complete without a heartwarming dog tale.
