For Veterans Day, Patch asked for readers to submit photos of themselves or a loved one serving in the United States Military. The readers delivered.
Within days, the gallery had dozens of photos from members of all military branches. The images spanned from black and white portraits of World War II soldiers to an action shot of a sailor doing a cannonball off a submarine. The photos showed those who went on to become veterans and those who died in battle.
The photos are unforgettable, so Patch will feature them every day of the year and readers can continue to submit.
Every photo has a story, so make sure to include a caption as well as the names and ranks of the service member.
And, if you get hung up, feel free to email Camp Pendleton Patch Editor Daniel Woolfolk at daniel.woolfolk@patch.com.
