Sunset Market Booth to Collect Holiday Gifts for Troops

Soldiers' Angels will collect goodsfrom 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. the next four Thursdays at Sunset Market.

Soldiers’ Angels—a non-profit organization that sends holiday packages to troops—will collect goods from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. the next three Thursdays at Sunset Market.

The weekly gathering takes place on Tremont Street and Pier View Way.

The organization will collect socks, snack bars, gum, nuts, candy bars, raisins and candy canes to make holiday stockings for service members deployed overseas, according to organizer Susan Lawson.

Attendees may also sign holiday cards, she added.

The booth will be next to the MainStreet Oceanside booth near the northwest corner of Tremont Street and Pier View Way.
