Eight years ago, Scripps Poway Parkway Store Manager Ethan Cook started working as a teller as a Marine Corps Reservist. Attributing his success, in part, to the support and training he received at Wells Fargo and the skills he gained in the Marine Corps,  he advanced both his civilian and military careers.  “I am proud to have served my country and feel equally as proud of today’s men and women who continue  to serve so selflessly and understand how important it to thank them,” said Cook.   “As my Wells Fargo career paralleled my military career, I realize how fortunate I was to work for a company that was so supportive of military members and their families.  I take pride in working for a company that puts their words into action by donating time and money towards nonprofit organizations that directly benefit military members and their families.”

“On behalf of our San Diego Wells Fargo team members, I’d like to recognize and thank the service members and families of those who so bravely serve our Country,” said Brian Lee, Wells Fargo’s North San Diego area president and military advocate. “I’d also like to recognize the tremendous work of these six nonprofits whose services truly make a difference in the lives of our active duty military, families, wounded service members and veterans.”

In addition, Wells Fargo will be showing its appreciation by hosting a Military Appreciation Campaign in all 193 banking stores located throughout the Southern California region.  Store team members will have special giveaways and thank you cards for military customers. Wells Fargo also sponsored the Operation Appreciation in Oceanside and the Jack in the Box Hoops at the Beach; it’s a 3 on 3 basketball tournaments. Wells Fargo is providing the military team’s entry fees. Both events were on held Saturday, May 18, 2013. Wells Fargo recruiter’s also participated in the Military Spouse Career Forum and Hiring Fair on May 7 at Camp Pendleton.
