Great Cloth Diaper Change 2014

San Marcos, CA April 26, 2014 – Rock Easy Diaper Company – www.rockeasy.co -  will be host to the San Marcos site of an international cloth diaper changing event taking place on Saturday, April 26, 2014, the same week as Earth Day. In its fourth year with hundreds of sites in 15 countries on 5 continents, The Great Cloth Diaper Change event will attempt to break last year’s Guinness World Record™ of 8,301 babies changed at one time.[1]

“Each year billions of disposable diapers enter landfills where it takes hundreds of years for them to decompose, if ever,” says Heather McNamara, Executive Director of the Real Diaper Association. “Building off the success of last year’s event with qualifying locations in 15 countries, spread across 5 continents, we hope to show the entire world that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s modern families, particularly catching the eye of expecting and new parents who may be seeking more planet-friendly and affordable alternatives to disposable diapers.”

To date, there are more than 50 parent/baby pairs registered to participate in the San Marcos event, which equates to approximately 150 people anticipated to be in attendance. The event will take place at 11:00 am at theMovement Church, 1609 Capalina Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069.  In addition to the Great Cloth Diaper Change world-record setting activity, there will also be non-diapered child activities, vendors, textile recycling, raffles, and food and beverage.
