Community Corner

Junior Black Belt Testing

On July 27, 2014 Goju Karate Center would like to invite the community to come and witness three of our long time Junior students ages 12-15 challenge their Junior Black Belt. At Goju Karate Center we emphasize Respect, Self-Discipline, Commitment and Service and our three candidates have demonstrated these principles over many years of karate training.

In order to be eligible to test, Students must obtain approval from their parents and school teachers. They will have completed more than 100 acts of service to include community service, teamwork  self-discipline in and out of the home. In addition to their service, they have endured regimented physical challenges outside of their regular training for one month prior to their test. Students will choose a personal growth challenge, which range from improving personal relationships with siblings or parents in addition to enhancing their diet and sleep patterns. This ensures a well rounded, physical and emotionally healthy and balanced individual.

We encourage our fellow community members to come out and support our candidates and witness their milestone achievement. The test will take place at Goju karate Center, 300 Carlsbad Village Dr., Ste 110A, Carlsbad, Ca. In the Village Faire Shopping Center. The test will begin at 12pm and culminate approximately 2:30pm. This event is open to the public.
