President Obama to Visit Camp Pendleton on Aug. 7

Before his stop in North San Diego County, Obama will speak in Phoenix about his plan to help responsible homeowners.

President Barack Obama plans to visit Camp Pendleton on Aug. 7 to thank Marines and their families for all of their sacrifices for our country.

U-T San Diego quotes White House spokesman Jay Carney saying Obama will head to the base next week "to visit with troops and their families and to thank them for their extraordinary service to our nation."

Before his stop at Camp Pendleton, the president will give a speech in Phoenix on Aug. 6 regarding his plans to help responsible homeowners, according to Politico.

After leaving Phoenix, Obama will head to Burbank for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Then, it's off to Camp Pendleton for a visit with the troops and their families.
