Members of the Mexican community throughout San Diego County are celebrating the Day of the Dead holiday this week.
The ancient Dia de los Muertos holiday is a time to celebrate those who have died and its most well known icon is “La Calavera Catrina”—the skeleton of a high class woman.
The Day of the Dead celebration at the Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside had plenty of Catrinas and their male counterparts, Catrins.
