A 19-year-old Oceanside woman was killed on state Route 76 Friday afternoon after her car crossed into oncoming traffic and was hit by a truck, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. Her name has not been released.
The woman was driving eastbound in rainy weather and had just passed Gird Road in Fallbrook when she lost control of her Honda Civic and went into the westbound lane at 12:18 p.m. According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, the Civic was struck on the passenger side by an oncoming truck.
Her death was confirmed by first responders at the scene of the crash.
