Oceanside Resident Faces Court on Bank Robbery Charges

Herbert Paquette robbed a Chase branch office in the 4100 block of Oceanside Boulevard on Nov. 30, according to Oceanside Police.

A man who robbed a bank in his hometown of Oceanside last year pleaded guilty today to robbery.

Herbert Paquette, 41, will be sentenced to probation at a hearing Feb. 10, said Deputy District Attorney Teresa Pham.

Authorities said Paquette used a demand note to steal an undisclosed amount of cash at the Chase branch office in the 4100 block of Oceanside Boulevard on the afternoon of Nov. 30.

Surveillance photos and physical evidence left at the crime scene led investigators to identify Paquette as the suspected bandit and he was arrested Dec. 10, Oceanside police Lt. Aaron Doyle said.
