Pedestrian Killed by Train in Oceanside

Oceanside police officers found the body near the Oceanside Boulevard railroad crossing.

The body of a pedestrian who had been struck by a train was found in Oceanside early Thursday, authorities said.

Oceanside police officers found the body near the Oceanside Boulevard railroad crossing shortly before 1:30 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff's Deputy Ed Macken.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office was working to identify the pedestrian, he said in a statement.
