Woman Sexually Assaulted in Oceanside Home

The incident occurred Saturday at a home on the 1000 block of Alberta Avenue.

Oceanside police said they are searching for a man who broke into a woman’s home on Saturday and sexually assaulted her.

The incident occurred at a home on the 1000 block of Alberta Avenue at around 4:45 a.m.

Oceanside Police Sgt. Ignacio Lopez said the suspect broke into the home through an unlocked front door. Investigators said the man fled the home and was last seen walking westbound on Alberta Avenue.

The suspect was described as white, in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. He is clean-shaven with a pale complexion, has brown short hair and was wearing a black shirt, tan, knee-length shorts and black shoes.

Lopez said there was no report on the victim's injuries.
