Camp Pendleton Marine Killed in Afghanistan Friday
Cpl. Roberto Cazarez died in combat.
A Marine based at Camp Pendleton was killed in combat in Afghanistan's Helmand Province Friday, military officials said Saturday.
Cpl. Roberto Cazarez, 24, was assigned to the 1st Marine Division's Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, according to the Department of Defense.
Cazarez was a resident of Harbor City, a neighborhood in Los Angeles.
