Marines and families of the 1st Marine Division's 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment paid tribute to four fallen brethren during a memorial service hosted by the battalion at the Camp San Mateo helicopter landing zone on base Friday.
The battalion, which recently returned from a seven month deployment from Afghanistan, honored the four fallen Marines.
The Marines are listed in the order they are shown in the accompanying video.
- Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, of Webster, Texas.
- Cpl. Alex Martinez, of native of Elgin, Ill.
- Anthony R. Servin, of Riverside.
- Lance Cpl. Joshua E. Witsman, of Danville, Ill.
Wilson, Martinez, Servin and Witsman all gave their lives to protect their country and fellow Marines during Operation Enduring Freedom.
