Video: 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines Pay Tribute to Four of Their Fallen

Video scenes show a memorial held Friday for four Marines of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment.

Marines and families of the 1st Marine Division's 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment paid tribute to four fallen brethren during a memorial service hosted by the battalion at the Camp San Mateo helicopter landing zone on base Friday.

The battalion, which recently returned from a seven month deployment from Afghanistan, honored the four fallen Marines.

The Marines are listed in the order they are shown in the accompanying video.

  • Sgt. Wade D. Wilson, of Webster, Texas.
  • Cpl. Alex Martinez, of native of Elgin, Ill.
  • Anthony R. Servin, of Riverside.
  • Lance Cpl. Joshua E. Witsman, of Danville, Ill.

Wilson, Martinez, Servin and Witsman all gave their lives to protect their country and fellow Marines during Operation Enduring Freedom.
