Candidates running for Oceanside City Council and Mayor told their stance to members of the Oceanside Manufactured Homeowners Alliance, Inc. Friday.

Oceanside’s mayoral and City Council candidates off Friday in a forum hosted by the Oceanside Manufactured Homeowners Alliance, Inc. at the El Corazon senior Center.

As expected, candidates were asked about their views on rent control and each gave an opinion. View the videos to hear directly from each candidate.

Rent control was a hot issue this summer with Proposition E, which would have phased out rent control in the city. The measure was rejected by voters. Read details on its support and opposition in the North County Times’ story about Friday’s forum.
