What's the Best Staycation Destination in Oceanside?

Tourists visit Oceanside all the time, but Patch wants to know which the best spot is to have a getaway of your own.

Editor's Note: I've added Heritage Park at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday. Requests for further additions end 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Why travel to a foreign country when you live in paradise? This week, Patch wants to know what the best staycation in Camp Pendleton-Oceanside is. Our list was inspired by the blog Travels with Marie: Day Trips with Friends.

Votes count as much as comments. Voting ends Friday at 9 a.m. and we'll announce a winner later that day.

While you’re hanging out at Patch, check out our business directory—and stick around to write a review and provide a rating of your favorite place.

Do you own a business in Oceanside or Camp Pendleton? Connect with customers by claiming your Patch directory listing! Here are  to claiming your listing. We've even got a video from out sister site Holliston Patch that shows you how to do it in one minute.

Editor’s note: Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

There's no doubt, the Oceanside Sunset Market rocks! Good Food from all over the world, live music, and the most fun place to be on a Thursday Night.

The Oceanside Parks in general but especially Heritage Park is a real gem with buildings which make up the history of Oceanside, the gazebo and grassy area for concerts and its location right behind the San Luis Rey Mission. Look for activities there this summer starting with May 12 Heritage Day from 12 noon to 4pm. Music, folkloric dancing, food, children's games, historic buildings. You are all invited. Adults $5 Children $1. Fundraiser to support activites in the parks this year. David Palmatier Chairman, Friends of Oceanside Parks
