An Oceanside Police Officer will teach parents how to help your child or teen safely navigate the Internet, organizers said.

The Oceanside Public Library is offering parents and caregivers a class titled “Internet Safety: Protecting Your Child.”

Cyberbullying, online child predators, and inappropriate website content will be covered.

The event is free and is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at in the Foundation Room at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway.
