Boxer 'Fine' After Head Injury

A Camp Pendleton boxer is recovering after fight that sent him to intensive care Saturday.

A member of the Camp Pendleton Varsity Boxing Team is "fine" after a blow to the head in a Pomona tournament Saturday that caused bleeding, the team reported on Facebook. 

The unidentified fighter was airlifted to Los Angeles County Hospital and placed in intensive care. 

The fighter is being monitored and is accompanied by his fiancé, the team reports, adding that he is walking around and joking about the fight.
