Marine Corps Trials Highlighted in Video

This year's Marine Corps Trials competitors include veteran and active duty Marines plus wounded warriors.

The third annual Marine Corps Trials came to a close here today with athletes competing in swimming, seated volleyball and wheelchair basketball. The Allied team edged the Veterans team to capture its first Commander's Cup. The Veterans team was the defending champion. 

This year's Marine Corps Trials competitors include veteran and active duty Marines plus wounded warriors from Australia, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Netherlands, the UK and New Zealand. Athletes can compete in air rifle and pistol, archery, cycling, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field and wheelchair basketball.

The 2013 Marine Corps Trials is the preamble to selection of 50 Marines to represent the Corps at the 2013 Warrior Games held in Colorado Springs in May.

The 2013 Marine Corps Trials were organized and operated by the USMC Wounded Warrior Regiment with support from Battalion East and Battalion West.
