Karen Archipley, Neighbor

Karen Archipley who along with her husband Colin created Archi's Acres, a small scale organic farm in North County Escondido.   Together they created the Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training (VSAT) program  to transition Active Duty and Veterans into Sustainable Organic Agriculture as a career.

VSAT is a six-week full impact training program that trains students in Agri-business.   Veterans will leave with an ever-evolving business plan that will allow them explore entrepreneurship from seed to market in hydroponics and soil management as well a product development.

Archi's Acres, VSAT Graduates have a high rate of success in operating their own business or finding jobs in organic agriculture.
