Pet of the Week: Grace is Gentle, and Looking for a Home off-Base

She also likes to get a tasty treat as a reward and she takes the treats from you very gently with her mouth.

Camp Pendleton Animal Shelter:

This lovely lady is Grace and she's 2 years old.  Because of her breed she is not allowed to live on base, so we are going to give her an HHD when she's adopted. That's an Honorable Humane Discharge from on-base living.  She hasn't done anything wrong at all, she just needs to live off base.  She has a nice personality, walks nicely on a leash once you get going, and she knows the command "sit." She also likes to get a tasty treat as a reward and she takes the treats from you very gently with her mouth.
She is an active, athletic girl and likes to play fetch with doggy toys.  Grace will need to be the only pet in her home, and probably best if the children are older and taller so they can enjoy playing with her and participating in her training, exercise and game playing. She doesn't care about other dogs at a distance, she just doesn't want them in her space.  Come on out and meet her in person.  You just might decide she's a match for your family.  Her adoption fee is $50 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

The public is welcome to come adopt the patriotic pets at the Camp Pendleton Animal Shelter! All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Adoption Hours: Thursday - Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Please DO call the shelter to check on the adoption availability date for our pets to make sure the one you want is ready to go!
